CREATIVE EXPOS & CONFERENCES TO HOLD EXPANDED 3-DAY PROGRAM AT
4th ANNUAL STORAGE & HIGH-AVAILABILITY SUMMIT AT TECHXNY 2002.
WALPOLE, MA February 15, 2002 Creative Expos and Conferences (CEC), a leading conference and trade show organizer in the Information Technology field, announced today that they will be producing the fourth annual Storage & High-Availability Summit. The Summit series has been expanded from its previous one-day SAN & Clustering Summit program to an in-depth three-day conference including three workshops on Thursday.
The Summit will provide corporate IT professionals with critical information to manage the evaluation, acquisition and implementation of the latest storage and high-availability solutions for their companies growing infrastructure and internet-based systems needs. The Summit will again be co-located with Technology Exchange Week New York - TECHXNY that includes TechXNY and will be held on Tuesday, June 25 through Thursday June 27, 2002 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.
Corporate data continues to grow at an astounding rate -- some 300% annually by some estimates. With explosive growth in business-to-business commerce and business-to-customer interaction much of it fueled by the Internet continuous, real-time access to data is a critical business requirement. This Summit examines the keenest, most powerful solutions that allow businesses to leverage storage and high-availability systems. What are the right decisions youll need to make in order to purchase deploy and manage network storage systems? And whats the best server, software, network and services infrastructure to make these systems fail-safe, secure, and ready for action.
Many organizations are turning to innovative storage and high availability solutions to help solve their storage management and distributed high-availability computing challenge. Whether its SAN or NAS, Infinband or Fiber Channel, Clustering, Load Balancing or Distributed Computing, the number one priority of IT management is to deliver company data safely, effectively and seamlessly in order to interact with customers and business partners.
While its tempting to throw more storage at a problem, the truth is that because of todays integrated environments, limited corporate budgets and reduced headcount, companies need creative approaches to intelligent network storage and implementation challenges
says Cherif Moujabber, President of Creative Expos. CECs Managing for High-Availability track provides the management overview and technical know-how that businesses need to create computing environments with continuous, real-time availability 24 by 7 by 365. These sessions presume systems availability whenever and wherever you need them.
Industry experts, solution providers and end users will present in-depth information that corporate IT and storage managers and professionals need to know NOW. They will explore the key issues of the latest complementary technologies and connectivity trends. The Summit will also directly address management issues including outsourcing storage with application service providers and identifying and calculating storage ROI.
"The face and role of storage are changing dramatically, as businesses tie their internal systems to the Internet for both public and private access", says Steven Engel, Conference Director of the Storage and High Availability Summit. "Technologies like SANs, NAS and virtualization all can offer storage solutions but aren't always compatible in today's world.
The corporate IT community needs to understand what works together, what's coming in the near future, and what they can do today to provide the critical features of real storage solutions: reliability, functionality, security, scalability, performance and management. These are the holy grails of storage and what every IT system needs to deliver."
