The following biographies are for Speakers at this year's conference programs.

Joe Baldwin, Manager of Projects and Engagements Professional Services,
StorageTek

Joe Baldwin has been with StorageTek over 15 years. Joe manages the implementation of StorageTek SAN methodologies for StorageTek customers. A 37-year industry veteran, Joe has had a broad range of experience. From field manager to engineering education to computer architecture (and much more), Joe's real life experience makes him a veritable expert in computer storage. He also worked as an information management systems consultant for 7 years, implementing computer architecture. Viewed as an expert by his peers, Joe has written IS methodologies for StorageTek and for Amdahl. He is also considered to be a visionary in the industry. In 1991 he wrote "The Total Cost of Ownership for Client Server" which introduced many concepts ahead of their time. www.storagetek.com

Akbar Behnam, Principal Systems Engineer/Systems Architect,
Legato

Akbar has been employed with Legato Systems Inc. since 1997. While at Legato, he provided consulting expertise to develop high availability clustering solution for large, mission critical applications. He acted as a liaison between Legato major accounts and product design group to fulfil technological requirements for Legato Automated Availability Manager product. Prior to joining Legato, Akbar had more than fourteen years of IT consulting, systems engineering, and application development experience in a diversity of development labs and other field branch offices within IT industry. He taught electrical engineering, computer logic design, and a variety of programming language courses at university. Akbar has master of Computer Science and master of Computer Engineering from Syracuse University. www.legato.com

Jeff Brandes, President and CEO,
TidalWire Inc.

Jeff Brandes joined TidalWire in May of 2000. Since that time, he has focussed on making TidalWire the number-one destination for storage area networking-- from the distribution of best-of-breed interconnect products and mission-critical support services to serving as a resource for industry news and information. The company's web portal at www.tidalwire.com was launched in January of 2001. Prior to joining TidalWire, Jeff co-founded content distribution and tracking software pioneer, WebSpective, which was aquired in 1999 by Inktomi Corporation. He has also held a variety of software sales and marketing positions. Jeff has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.

Sarah Faulkner Cluster Consultant,
Cambridge Computer Services

Sarah is a consultant in Cambridge Computer Services’ storage division. She implements clustering solutions and consults on storage and backup. When she’s not in the field, Sarah works on course development for clustering software, conducts competitive analyses, and teaches training classes for cluster and backup software. www.camcom.com

Adam Daniel Ginsburg, Senior Systems Engineer,
Citrix Systems

Adam Ginsburg, Citrix Systems DC\Metro Systems Engineer, has been in his position at Citrix Systems since July of 1998. Adam is responsible for pre and post sales technical issues in large accounts as well as keeping the CSN Chanell educated on Citrix Technologies.
Adam has been in the industry since 1992. Before joining Citrix, Adam represented Tech Data on all Citrix related issues. Ginsburg holds the MCSE,CCA,CCUA,CCI, as well as a CAN from Novell. www.citrix.com

Tom Henderson, Principal Researcher, ExtremeLabs, Inc.

The author of nine books on computing, Tom's organization is a Network World Global Test Alliance Partner, and is published frequently in Network World, Boardwatch Magazine, and Channel Business Magazine (1500+ articles and columns). Formerly senior vice president of engineering for one of the world's largest interconnects, Tom's predecessor organization designed and installed over 500 networks in North America for a wide variety of clients. Co-Founder of LANDA (merged with BTA) and the CTRA (merged with the MMTA/TIA), Tom's a member of the technical program committee for the International Communications Association, and is senior member of the COMDEX conference advisory board, and also sits on the board of directors for PBS-affiliate WFYI-20 in Indianapolis. Vijay Kumar, Manager, Systems Engineering,

Vijay Kumar is the Manager of Systems Engineering for Citrix Systems for Northeast Region. Vijay is responsible for training engineers in the deployment and support of our products, as well as the architecture and management of several large scale Citrix deployment projects for the region. Vijay has over 15 years of experience in the computer-networking field. He was worked at Citrix for the last 7 years. Dennis Law, Vice President - Hosting Services,
EDS

Dennis E. Law is the Service Line Vice President for Hosting Services for EDS. He is responsible for the development and execution of EDS' Managed Hosting strategy. Managed Hosting consists of the following service lines:Web Hosting Services, Intelligent Storage Services , Mainframe Services, MidRange Computing Solutions, and Applications Hosting Services . In addition, Law has responsibility for implementing strategic alliances within the Managed Hosting environment. Law joined the EDS Marketing and Portfolio Management team in 2000 as the Service Line Vice President for Managed Web Hosting.Previously, Law served as the Executive Director for Internet Hosting and Applications for Global One. He was responsible for the market entry and overall management of Global One's IAS products. During this time frame, Global One developed and successfully launched Web hosting services and converged network services. Law has two masters degrees in MIS and International Affairs. www.eds.com

Jerry Maldonado, Director of Storage Architects,
FalconStor Software

Jerry Maldonado has 15 years of hands-on and management experience in the technology industry. In his most recent position as Director of Technical Services of Total Computer Care LTD, Mr. Maldonado was responsible for providing high-level technical expertise to System Engineered Specialists.He also was responsible for strategic technology decisions and acted as Chief Technology Officer. Previously, he was with Computer Associates International where he contributed to the developing of packaged services that could be offered through a channel structure. Kelly Polanski, Director, Product Marketing

Kelly has spent the last four years in the storage management market, at Legato Systems, specializing in application high availability as the Director of Product Management for Qualix Group/FullTime Software, serving as the Business Line Manager for application availability when Qualix was acquired by Legato, and progressing to Director of Product Marketing for Legato in 2001. Prior to joining Legato, Kelly spent six years at Unisys progressing to Deputy Director of a $10M systems integration practice, and two years as the Director of Program Management for a sales force automation solution provider, Dendrite Systems. Scott D. Robinson, Chief Technology Officer,
Datalink

Scott D. Robinson joined Datalink in 1989 as its Chief Engineer and became Vice President - Engineering in 1993. He was named Chief Technology Officer in 1999. Between 1983 and 1989, he was employed by Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company.
Mr. Robinson has spoken at numerous conferences and trade shows including Network Storage 2000, Fibre Channel Technology Conference (1999 and 2000), and StorageTek Forum. Mr. Robinson received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1982 from Marquette University and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1989 from the University of Minnesota. www.datalink.com

Rick Ruskin, Executive Vice President,
MTI Technology Corporation

As the executive vice president of MTI, Rick Ruskin has more than 18 years experience in the computer storage industry. He first joined MTI in 1990 as the northeast regional sales manager. During his time as sales manager between 1990 and 1994, he won the Sales Manager of the Year Award from 1991 to 1994. In 1994, Mr. Ruskin was promoted to area vice president, then later to senior vice president of sales and marketing in 1997. Prior to joining MTI, Mr. Ruskin served in senior management positions at Systems Industries Corporation, a computer data storage company. Mr. Ruskin earned a master's degree from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado. www.mti.com

Ted Scardamalia, CEO and Co-Founder,
Times N Systems

As CEO and Co-Founder of Times N Systems, Scardamalia brings deep experience in both technical and management positions in logic design, ASIC chip design, CUSTOM chip logic and circuit design, business planning, development of processor complexes and development of hardware and software for high performance systems. Thomas Sjolshagen, Manager,
COMPAQ Tru64 Unix Group

Thomas Sjolshagen is the Manager of the of Availability & File Systems and Storage Technologies in Compaq's Tru64 Unix Group. His responsibilities include strategy, product planning and business management. Thomas's organization includes technologies in the areas of Single System Availability, TruCluster and Disaster Tolerance as well as Storage hardware integration with Tru64 UNIX, volume management software and file systems. Thomas has worked at Compaq for 5+ years in a variety of Service and support, consulting, planning and managerial positions.
